They have an email at the bottom of some of the pages. Use that. See email from HHS if I can't find it.
Hello,
My name is Will King and I'm a PhD Student in Economics working on a project regarding drug development for my dissertation. Currently I'm trying to find or build a dataset describing which compounds were on the market at a given time between 2010 and 2020 and have found that the National Drug Code Directory contains the marketing information, including dates, for drugs currently on the market. Unfortunatly for my purposes, drugs that were pulled from the market are no longer available in the public version. Is there a way that I could get the historical market availability dates? I'm really sorry if I've missed some link to something.
Thank you for your help,
Will King

Hello,
My name is Will King and I'm a PhD Student in Economics at Washington State University. I'm currently working on a project to investigate how drugs on the market influence drug trial completion rates for my dissertation and am looking for information on which drugs were on the market at a given time. So far I've found the NDC Directory with the marketing dates for each drug and the Orangebook. The issue I'm having is that the published versions of the NDC Directory does not contain drugs that were pulled off the market. Is there published data on the drugs with lapsed marketing approval? If not, what would be the process for requesting it?
Thank you,
Will King
